Senior IP Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for pre-silicon verification of complex digital IPs and subsystems, including memory controllers and interconnects. Collaborate with global design, architecture, hardware, firmware, and software teams to define verification plans, build UVM environments, develop tests, run regressions, and analyze coverage across RTL, gate-level, FPGA, and emulation platforms.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include defining verification strategies, implementing verification environments, developing and running tests, and interfacing with cross-functional teams.

• Define and write IP verification plans from requirements, architecture, and implementation specifications.
• Architect, develop, debug, and run UVM-based verification environments for RTL simulation.
• Develop test cases, stimuli, and assertions; run simulations and regressions across RTL, power-aware RTL, gate-level, FPGA, and emulation platforms.
• Collect and analyze functional and code coverage; drive metric-driven verification.
• Interface with hardware, firmware, software, architecture, and system engineering teams to understand functionality and application of the IP/subsystem.
• Debug design issues pre- and post-silicon.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IP/Sub-System verification and testbench development using UVM methodology for IP/subsystem and SoC verification.
• Strong knowledge of digital protocols and memory systems: AHB/AMBA, ROM, RAM, Flash, LPDDR/DDR3/4 and memory controllers; experience with microcontroller/microprocessor architecture and cache coherency.
• Advanced knowledge of SystemVerilog/Verilog; proficiency in C/C++ and shell scripting.
• High proficiency in metric-driven verification, functional and code coverage, and directed and constrained-random methodologies.
• Knowledge of formal verification methodologies and assertions.
• Experience debugging designs in simulation and on hardware (bench).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Nice-to-have: scripting experience in Perl, TCL, or Python.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is specified in the posting, along with 5+ years of experience in IP/Sub-System verification.
