Job Title

Senior IP Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join the Solution Engineering verification team to develop testbenches, test suites and verification environments for IP and complex subsystems used across Enterprise, Automotive and Client markets. The role focuses on delivering functional verification to schedule and quality targets and working closely with design teams to resolve microarchitectural issues.

Salary range: $161,500–$218,500 per year.

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities are verification of IP/subsystems and collaboration with design and cross-functional teams.

  • Write test plans and implement functional verification to meet quality and schedule targets.
  • Develop and maintain testbenches, test cases and automated test suites.
  • Collaborate with design teams to review microarchitectural specifications and debug issues.
  • Develop IP features that enable reconfigurable designs.
  • Act as a partner across teams to select and adopt robust verification solutions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

  • Experience verifying complex subsystems or SoCs, including test plan creation, testbench implementation, test case development, documentation and support.
  • Hands-on experience with front-end verification and simulation tools (examples: Questa, VCS, JasperGold, Verdi), UPF and debuggers.
  • Experience with coverage methodologies: functional, toggle and code coverage.
  • Experience with reconfigurable IP or subsystem design and associated verification challenges.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across design, verification and system teams to deliver solutions.

Nice-to-have:

  • Object-oriented programming concepts and scripting (Perl, Python or similar).
  • Familiarity with ARM-based design or ARM system architectures.
  • OTP/fuse usage models, JTAG/TAP protocols, SoC system debug methodologies.
  • DFT methodologies (RTL testability, scan insertion, OCC).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related technical field (the posting specifies Bachelors or higher). The posting also expects practical experience in verification of complex subsystems or SoCs.
