Senior IP Design Verification Engineer - XBAR IP

Role Summary

Senior Verification Engineer responsible for verifying the design and implementation of memory subsystem IP for NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs. The role works within an ASIC verification team to develop verification infrastructure, create test plans, and ensure functional correctness of complex IP/sub-systems.

The position requires collaboration with architects, designers, and pre-/post-silicon teams to drive verification closure. Work impacts GPU and SOC product lines across consumer, automotive, and AI markets.

Experience Level

Senior level. Guidance: 4+ years of relevant verification experience.

Responsibilities

The engineer will define verification scope, build infrastructure, and execute coverage-driven verification for memory sub-systems.

• Analyze design and micro-architecture to define verification scope and plans.
• Develop verification infrastructure, testbenches, and verification IP (BFMs, monitors, checkers, scoreboards).
• Create and run directed and randomized tests; drive functional coverage and assertion-based verification closure.
• Use advanced methodologies such as SystemVerilog/UVM to implement reusable verification environments.
• Debug functional issues and iterate with designers on fixes and feature behavior.
• Document verification results and present verification status to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with architects, design, and pre-/post-silicon teams to resolve issues and complete verification sign-off.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

• 4+ years of relevant experience in IP or subsystem verification.
• Experience verifying complex IPs/units and sub-systems.
• Experience with random stimulus, functional coverage, and assertion-based verification methodologies.
• Expertise in Verilog.
• Knowledge of SystemVerilog or similar HVL and UVM or VMM.
• Nice-to-have: experience in memory subsystem or network interconnect IP verification.
• Nice-to-have: scripting skills, strong debugging and analytical ability.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Education Requirements

B.Tech. or M.Tech., or equivalent practical experience.
