Job Title

Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer - Silicon Co-Design Group

Role Summary

Architect and implement AI-assisted automation and developer infrastructure to improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of silicon design and verification workflows. Lead cross-functional projects from concept to production and collaborate with ASIC, software, system design, product, security, and operations teams.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires 8+ years of relevant software and infrastructure engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver production-grade automation and lead engineering efforts to streamline system design and verification.

  • Define vision and roadmap for productivity and efficiency improvements; drive execution from design through delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams and own tool-to-tool pipelines and integrations.
  • Build production-grade AI-assisted automation infrastructure including orchestration, observability, evaluation, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Collaborate with ASIC, software, system design, product, security, and operations teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Perform deep debugging and root-cause analysis across infrastructure, data, automation, and HW/SW boundary issues; define measurement plans and converge on fixes.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • 8+ years designing large-scale infrastructure, framework architecture, or developer platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and at least one statically typed language (C, C++, C#, Java, Scala, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in AI/ML and data analysis with exposure to large-scale datasets.
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals: computer architecture, high-speed interfaces, timing, power basics, firmware/driver structures, and hardware interaction.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to decompose ambiguous problems and make tradeoffs under constraints.
  • Proven track record of independently driving complex, cross-functional work to closure with clear ownership.

Nice-to-have:

  • Hands-on silicon bring-up, characterization, or lab debug experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc.
  • Experience building production AI workflow systems for engineering or infrastructure use cases (beyond prototypes).
  • Strong debugging instincts across distributed systems, automation pipelines, and HW/SW interactions, with clear hypothesis/measurement/decision process.
  • Demonstrated use of AI to accelerate coding, analysis, validation, or triage with disciplined validation.

Education Requirements

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. The posting explicitly allows equivalent experience in place of the listed degrees.
