Job Title
Senior Infrastructure and Methodology Engineer for SoC-Clocks
Role Summary
Develop infrastructure, automation, and AI-driven applications to improve SoC design, verification, and architecture workflows. Work with chip-design and verification teams to identify bottlenecks, design agentic tools, and integrate LLM capabilities into engineering environments.
This role sits on the NVIDIA SoC-Clocks team and focuses on tooling and methodology to increase engineering productivity and quality in ASIC flows.
Experience Level
Senior. The role expects demonstrable ASIC domain knowledge (2+ years of ASIC principles) and experience building production AI applications and full-stack integrations.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include delivering infrastructure and AI-enabled tools that integrate into engineering workflows.
- Understand NVIDIA design, verification, and architecture environments and their execution processes.
- Partner with domain engineers to identify process bottlenecks and propose infrastructure improvements.
- Design and implement end-to-end AI applications and agent systems that integrate with web frontends, portals, and CLI tools.
- Develop context- and harness-engineering practices, evaluation benchmarks, and reliability optimizations for agents.
- Research advanced design and verification flows and build new applications to address emerging challenges in ASIC/SoC workflows.
- Contribute to production-quality deployment and CI/CD of tooling used by hardware and verification teams.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience required for successful performance in this role.
- 2+ years of ASIC domain knowledge (principles and common flows).
- Proficiency in scripting and backend languages such as Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Practical experience building production AI applications and using at least one LLM development framework (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex).
- Experience integrating LLM/agent capabilities into web architectures and engineering workflows.
- Familiarity with full-stack components (APIs, frontend frameworks, CI/CD, databases) and modern deployment practices.
- Fluent written and spoken English and strong cross-team communication skills.
- Good judgment decomposing engineering problems into reusable skills, workflows, and agent capabilities.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, React, Node.js, MySQL or MongoDB, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with AI-native coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) and building AI tools for hardware/EDA teams.
- Background in ASIC CAD projects (SoC build flow, RTL design, CDC/RDC, static timing analysis, simulation regression).
Education Requirements
Academic background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Applied Engineering is requested.
