Job Title

Senior Imaging & Computer Vision SoC Architect

Role Summary

Drive definition and development of imaging, ISP, video, and computer vision architectures optimized for ultra-low-power SoC platforms. Work cross-functionally with hardware, software, AI, product, and verification teams to translate requirements into architecture specifications and product roadmaps.

Position is based in Austin, Texas and requires onsite attendance five days per week.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 8+ years of imaging, ISP, video, computer vision, AI accelerator, or related architecture experience.

Responsibilities

Design and lead imaging and computer vision architectural work across product lifecycle.

  • Define imaging, ISP, video, and computer vision architectures for future SoC products.
  • Create architecture specifications, power/performance models, system flows, and use-case definitions.
  • Drive camera image quality and imaging pipeline strategy.
  • Evaluate and integrate internal and external imaging, video, and AI IP.
  • Partner with software teams to define APIs, hardware abstraction layers, and imaging frameworks.
  • Collaborate with FPGA, design, verification, and physical design teams through implementation and silicon bring-up.
  • Support customer engagements to gather requirements and align product capabilities to market needs.
  • Contribute to product roadmaps and next-generation imaging technology strategy.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for successful candidates.

  • Proven experience creating architecture specifications for complex SoCs or hardware platforms.
  • Expertise in one or more: Image Signal Processing (ISP), camera systems, computer vision, video encode/decode, neural network acceleration, or embedded AI.
  • Experience evaluating and integrating imaging, video, and AI IP into system architectures.
  • Experience partnering with software teams on APIs, HALs, and imaging frameworks.
  • Track record delivering products from concept through silicon validation.
  • Strong understanding of low-power mobile, wearable, or IoT systems.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Nice-to-have: advanced process node experience and team or technical leadership experience.

Education Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is stated as required. MS or PhD is preferred. (No certifications or 'equivalent experience' language specified.)
