Senior III-IV Integration Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for developing and transferring III-V compound semiconductor process technologies to manufacturing partners and managing wafer fabrication flows to meet product, yield, reliability, and schedule targets. Works cross-functionally with device, process, metrology, operations, and module teams to deliver production-ready processes.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Minimum 5+ years hands-on semiconductor process integration experience; 10+ years preferred for compound semiconductor device integration and production transfer.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include process development, technology transfer validation, and coordination of fabrication and integration activities.
- Develop new process technologies and integration flows to meet product requirements and timelines.
- Validate baseline process flows and support technology transfer to external partners.
- Manage co-development of unit processes with Device, Process, Metrology, Operations, EPM, and Module teams.
- Oversee fabrication flow for R&D and product wafers to ensure quality delivery and schedule alignment.
- Interface with upstream and downstream stakeholders to resolve interface dependencies.
- Provide regular reporting of progress, technical findings, issue resolutions, and escalations to stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and skills. Preferred / nice-to-have items are listed separately.
- 5+ years hands-on semiconductor process integration experience.
- Strong understanding of III-V compound semiconductor development cycles and fabrication processes.
- Technical foundation in optics, materials science, and electronics relevant to device and process integration.
- Experience developing process flows, specifications, and analyzing data to meet performance, reliability, and yield targets.
- Ability to manage wafer processing flow, experiments, and cross-functional deliverables.
Nice-to-have
- Experience working in cleanroom facilities and managing wafer design-of-experiments and processing (multi-year preferred).
- Experience with failure analysis and characterization techniques.
- Expertise in statistical analysis, DOE principles, and data analysis tools.
- Proven track record of driving complex cross-functional projects and successful production transfers.
- Program or project management experience and strong communication/collaboration skills.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field (required).
