Senior IC Foundry Engineer
NVIDIAJob Title
Senior IC Foundry Engineer
Role Summary
Join the IC Product Engineering team in Israel to drive yield and performance improvements for advanced-node ICs. The role combines parametric data analysis, cross-functional collaboration (build, backend, layout, analog, operations, test, reliability, characterization), and direct engagement with foundry engineering teams.
Primary objective: identify and contain process excursions, optimize product integration, and deliver robust manufacturing performance.
Experience Level
Senior - typically requires 5+ years of experience in process, integration, device engineering, or semiconductor manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include leading technical efforts with foundries and implementing data-driven process controls.
- Drive yield and performance improvements across advanced process nodes.
- Serve as NVIDIA's technical interface to foundry partners; lead technical communication and drive issues to full containment.
- Collaborate across multiple domains (layout, analog, test, reliability, operations) in a matrix environment for product optimization.
- Analyze IC parametric measurements and large datasets to identify yield limiters and process excursions.
- Develop data pipelines and automated monitoring/alerting frameworks to detect process drift.
- Present technical findings and recommended mitigations to engineering and operations stakeholders.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, experience, and behaviors.
- 5+ years of proven experience in process, integration, device engineering, or semiconductor manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of FAB processes, integration flows, device behavior, and quality metrics.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and experience with data analysis and correlation methodologies.
- Experience working with large datasets and developing data pipelines for engineering use cases.
- Proficiency with scripting/programming (Python or similar) for data analysis and workflow automation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to lead technical discussions with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize under pressure, and take high ownership and accountability.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with FAB support systems (inspection tools, OSAT) or silicon technology operations.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., JMP) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or custom Python dashboards).
- Experience building or applying ML models for yield prediction, defect classification, or process control.
- Familiarity with semiconductor data platforms and data ecosystems.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Materials, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
