Job Title

Senior HV-BCD Device Expert

Role Summary

Lead development and optimization of high-voltage (HV) and BCD device architectures to deliver robust power-management solutions. Work within device engineering teams to improve device performance, reliability, and manufacturability across BCD process nodes.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires 10+ years of semiconductor industry experience.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on device architecture, physics-driven optimization, modeling, verification, and cross-functional integration.

  • Lead architecture design and optimization of HV devices (LDMOS, EDMOS, ESD) on 180nm–55nm BCD nodes.
  • Analyze and optimize device physics parameters including breakdown voltage (BV), Rds(on), SOA, and reliability mechanisms (HCI/NBTI).
  • Perform 2D/3D process and device simulations using TCAD to accelerate development.
  • Define verification plans and conduct statistical analysis (DOE, WAT) using JMP.
  • Perform layout review and test-structure design within Cadence environments.
  • Collaborate with Process Integration (PI), Product Engineering (PE), and foundry teams to resolve yield, reliability, and manufacturing issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • 10+ years of semiconductor industry experience focused on device development.
  • Deep knowledge of device architecture and device physics.
  • Hands-on experience with 180nm–55nm BCD process nodes.
  • Proficiency with TCAD tools (Sentaurus or Silvaco), JMP for statistical analysis, and Cadence (layout/Virtuoso).
  • Experience defining verification plans and performing DOE/WAT statistical analysis.
  • Ability to analyze reliability metrics and root-cause complex device failures.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with GaN, SiC, or IGBT device development.
  • Knowledge of silicon photonics integration and related device physics.
  • Experience in process integration mask flow, doping profiles, CP/FT data correlation, and yield enhancement.

Education Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field. The posting specifies 10+ years of semiconductor industry experience.
