Senior Hardware Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for planning and executing hardware validation and characterization for ASIC/SoC platforms. Work with cross-functional teams to develop pre-silicon and post-silicon validation solutions, debug board-level and system issues, and support manufacturing and test improvements.
Role includes test development, device characterization across process/voltage/temperature ranges, and contributing to design reviews and production yield/test-time improvements. Pay range provided by employer: $113,947 - $166,900 per year.

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include validation, characterization, and support for hardware and manufacturing test.
- Plan and perform validation and analysis of electronic systems, circuits, components, and integrated circuitry.
- Develop and execute pre-silicon and post-silicon validation strategies and test plans.
- Perform board-level troubleshooting to identify electrical and functional issues and drive fixes.
- Characterize device behavior across process, voltage, and operating conditions and record results for engineering evaluation.
- Perform testing and analysis related to signal integrity, power integrity, and SERDES interfaces.
- Develop and maintain Python-based automation for validation and test flows.
- Collaborate with Design, Software/System Engineering, Architecture, Customers, and Manufacturing to integrate test solutions and improve yield, test time, and quality.
- Participate in design reviews and project meetings as a technical contributor.
Requirements
Minimum technical qualifications and skills required.
- Practical experience in hardware validation and board-level debug.
- Experience with signal integrity, power integrity, and SERDES interface testing and analysis.
- Proficiency with Python for test automation and data collection/analysis.
- Experience performing device characterization across process, voltage, and operating conditions.
- Experience working cross-functionally with design, software, architecture, and manufacturing teams.
- Ability to convert validation results into manufacturing/test improvements to affect yield and quality.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate findings in design reviews.
- Nice-to-have: prior ASIC/SoC validation experience, familiarity with manufacturing test solutions, experience with additional scripting languages or test frameworks.
Education Requirements
Employer will accept a Masters degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
