Job Title

Senior Hardware Test Engineer

Role Summary

Senior Hardware Test Engineer on the Hardware Engineering team responsible for test solution development, bring-up, debug, validation and qualification of System-in-Package (SiP) products integrating SoCs and companion chips.

The role delivers test hardware and develops ATE-based test programs, performs hardware/software characterization across process and operating conditions, and transitions cost-effective production test solutions into high-volume manufacturing. Works with RF, analog, digital, software, system and customer engineering teams.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting does not specify years of experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include delivering production-ready test solutions and validating product performance.

  • Plan and implement test solutions, bring-up, debug and validate new product functionality.
  • Design and deliver test hardware and ATE-based test programs for SiP/SoC products.
  • Perform hardware/software characterization and evaluate device performance across process and operating conditions.
  • Develop and release cost-effective production test flows into high-volume manufacturing.
  • Apply Design for Test (DFT) and structural test techniques to improve test coverage and yield.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams (RF, analog/digital IC design, software, system engineering, customer engineering) to integrate test solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews and project meetings and provide technical input on testability and manufacturing readiness.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for success in this role.

  • Hands-on experience with ATE platforms and developing ATE test programs.
  • Proven hardware bring-up, debug and validation experience for complex mixed-signal or RF systems.
  • Experience with characterization across process corners and operating conditions.
  • Knowledge of DFT concepts and structural test techniques for production testing.
  • Experience releasing test solutions into high-volume manufacturing and optimizing for test time and yield.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to contribute in design reviews and drive technical decisions related to testability and manufacturing.

Education Requirements

Will accept a Masters degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (as stated in the posting).
