Job Title

Senior Hardware Test Engineer

Role Summary

Design, develop, and deliver test hardware and test programs for system-in-package (SiP) products that integrate SoCs and companion chips, using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) platforms. Work within Hardware Engineering to bring up, debug, validate, characterize, and qualify new product functionality and production test solutions.

Contribute to production readiness by optimizing test time, yield, and quality through cross-functional collaboration with RF, analog, digital, software, and system engineering teams.

Experience Level

Senior. The posting does not specify an explicit years-of-experience range.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include test development, characterization, and releasing production test solutions:

  • Plan and execute hardware and software test activities for new products on ATE platforms.
  • Bring up, debug, and validate SiP/SoC functionality across process and operating conditions.
  • Develop test programs and test hardware for device characterization and production testing.
  • Design and evaluate manufacturing test solutions using DFT and structural test techniques.
  • Characterize device performance and variability; recommend test limits and guardbands.
  • Release cost-effective production test flows into high-volume manufacturing.
  • Participate in design reviews and cross-functional project meetings to drive test strategy.

Requirements

Core skills and experience expected for the role.

  • Must-have:
    • Hands-on experience with ATE platforms and test program development for SiP/SoC products.
    • Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging, and device characterization.
    • Knowledge of Design for Test (DFT) and structural test methodologies.
    • Experience releasing production test solutions for high-volume manufacturing.
    • Ability to collaborate with RF, analog, digital, software, and system engineering teams.
  • Nice-to-have:
    • Experience with advanced process technologies and manufacturing test optimization.
    • Familiarity with system-level test and companion chip integration.

Education Requirements
