Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Hardware Design Engineer with a strong focus on system design to join our dynamic team at Broadcom's Core Switching Group (CSG). This role involves participating in the entire hardware development cycle, from concept to NPI production, with specific emphasis on system design, including schematics, PCB layout, and customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of complex PCB system designs, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Drive the implementation of high-speed SERDES channels (100/200Gbps and beyond) and high-density BGA pin layouts.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of high-power, low-noise analog power systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to ODMs, OEMs, and PCB/PCA suppliers.
  • Utilize advanced tools for signal integrity and power integrity analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Hardware Systems Design Engineer.
  • Expertise in PCB design tools like DxDesigner/OrCad and Cadence Allegro.
  • Strong understanding of power integrity and signal integrity principles.
  • Proficiency in system bring-up and debugging of embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, USB, SPI, and I2C.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
