Senior Hardware Quality Engineer
Role Summary
Lead quality strategy and execution across the hardware product development lifecycle, from concept through mass production. Drive cross-functional alignment, risk management, and continuous improvement to ensure products meet engineering and quality standards.
Experience Level
Senior — 12+ years in hardware design development, testing, or process engineering; preferably 5+ years specifically in quality.
Responsibilities
Accountable for quality planning, risk mitigation, and execution across development and manufacturing stages.
- Lead multi-functional teams to complete development stages and meet quality criteria.
- Define and enforce engineering standards, quality control plans, and configuration control.
- Drive proactive quality activities including inquiries, root-cause analysis (RCA), and CAPA implementation.
- Identify, prioritize, track, and mitigate risks that could affect schedule or product quality.
- Promote early detection through checks, continuous monitoring, and rapid issue resolution.
- Maintain and improve verification, validation, and reliability qualification processes.
- Partner with Continuous Improvement to reduce customer complaints and internal scrap.

- Must-have: 12+ years in hardware design development, testing, or as a process engineer.
- Must-have: Experience with manufacturing process or test engineering, board design/assembly, or semiconductors.
- Must-have: Experience with hardware qualification, reliability processes, quality procedures and tools.
- Must-have: Familiarity with risk assessment, failure analysis, and FMEA.
- Must-have: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage product changes/configuration.
- Preferred: 5+ years in quality-specific roles.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering, or similar — or equivalent practical experience.
