Role Summary

Work on advanced baseband signal-processing hardware for a 5G satellite base station. The role covers RTL micro-architecture, FPGA prototyping and ASIC implementation to produce space-qualified devices and deliver standalone or integrated IP solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead RTL implementation and verification across the design flow from micro-architecture to FPGA validation and ASIC implementation.

• Translate requirements into micro-architectures with Algorithm and System Architecture teams.
• Develop RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) and create testbenches and verification artifacts.
• Implement and optimize designs for FPGA prototypes and ASIC targets.
• Validate and integrate designs on FPGA development platforms.
• Optimize timing and hardware resources for high-throughput signal-processing functions.
• Contribute to engineering processes and suggest improvements for efficiency and quality.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Expert in RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) for complex ASIC/FPGA products.
• Proven delivery of digital designs in ASIC and FPGA flows, including synthesis and timing closure.
• Experience optimizing timing and hardware resources for high-throughput data or signal-processing applications.
• Proficient with EDA tools for simulation and synthesis and experienced in writing testbenches.
• Proficient scripting skills (e.g. Python) for verification and automation.
• Experience producing technical documentation such as design specifications and verification plans.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of communications signal-processing algorithms (error correction, equalization).
• Familiarity with AMBA bus protocols, UVM verification techniques, and high-speed interfaces (PCIe, JESD).
• Experience with space-qualified device development or satellite communications.
