Senior Hardware Design Engineer on AMD's Systems Design Engineering team responsible for improving platform and SoC validation through tool and methodology development, debug, and cross-team coordination. Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include platform and system-level validation, debug, and process improvement across SoC programs.

  • Develop tools, scripts, and automated solutions to improve validation and lab efficiency.
  • Debug issues encountered during bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs.
  • Coordinate with multiple internal teams and track test execution to ensure feature validation and optimization on schedule.
  • Work closely with supporting technical teams to resolve root causes and implement fixes.
  • Participate in software/hardware modeling and validation frameworks.

Requirements

  • Experience with board/platform-level debug, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization.
  • Familiarity with common lab equipment such as protocol/logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • Knowledge of system architecture, technical debug practices, and validation strategy.
  • Proven debug techniques and methodological approach to root cause analysis.
  • Programming/scripting skills (examples: Perl, Ruby, Python) for tool and automation development.
  • Experience supporting SOC bring-up, validation, and production readiness activities.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
