Job Title

Senior Graphics Instrumentation Engineer

Role Summary

Senior engineer on the Agile driver development team responsible for designing and implementing instrumentation frameworks and tools for Mali GPU products. The role provides deep exposure to GPU hardware and software internals and enables performance monitoring and optimisation used across device platforms.

Responsibilities

Work across hardware and software teams to deliver and maintain instrumentation and profiling capabilities for GPU drivers and systems.

  • Design, develop, maintain and improve instrumentation framework and related tools.
  • Participate in all software development phases: design, implementation, debugging, testing and documentation.
  • Perform and participate in design and code reviews.
  • Integrate instrumentation with other HW and SW components and define interfaces.
  • Analyse performance data and help users monitor and optimise system behaviour.

  • Must-have: Demonstrable experience in C/C++ programming.
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Good team working, self-motivation and results focus; organised and analytical approach.
  • Experience with version control and bug tracking systems.
  • Nice-to-have: Understanding of embedded systems and computer architecture; exposure to object-oriented programming (ideally Python); knowledge of OpenGL ES and Vulkan; profiling and optimisation experience; insight into GPU graphics pipeline; experience leading teams; familiarity with Linux or Android.
