Job Title

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Role Summary

Work on Qualcomm's CAD Infrastructure team to design, build, and operate full-stack web applications, data services, automation platforms, and AI-enabled workflows used by engineering organizations across the company.

Collaborate with engineering teams, technical program managers, DevOps, and infrastructure architects to deliver scalable, production-grade tools that increase engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include delivering production-grade full-stack services, data platforms, automation, and operational support.

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade full-stack web applications and APIs.
  • Build modern front-end UIs using React and TypeScript.
  • Implement scalable backend services and microservices (Python, Node.js, FastAPI, Express).
  • Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Build and optimize data platforms using SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Create automation workflows for engineering productivity, infrastructure management, analytics, and reporting.
  • Deploy and operate applications in Kubernetes and containerized environments.
  • Integrate AI/ML and LLM technologies into internal engineering workflows where applicable.
  • Troubleshoot performance, scalability, reliability, and security issues in production.
  • Drive architecture and design reviews; mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution; education requirements are summarized separately below.

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Expert-level Python programming; strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
  • Experience with Node.js and building REST APIs and microservices.
  • Proven experience developing React-based front-end applications.
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB); familiarity with Redis is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Git-based workflows and Linux environments.
  • Experience deploying and operating services in containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Strong debugging, performance tuning, system design, and distributed-systems understanding.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; experience leading technical projects.

Nice-to-have: EDA/CAD or semiconductor domain experience; CI/CD and DevOps tooling; message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ); observability tools (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Splunk); distributed schedulers (LSF, Slurm); AI/LLM integration and vector databases; authentication frameworks (OAuth2, SAML, LDAP); Terraform.
