Role Summary
Senior frontend engineer on the Precision Studio team responsible for building React/Next.js and TypeScript web interfaces for engineering workflows. Collaborate with UX, product, visual design, and backend teams to deliver scalable, high-quality UI components and influence frontend architecture.
Experience Level
Senior-level; requires 5+ years of frontend engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver and maintain production-grade frontend features, components, and infrastructure for precision engineering tools.
- Build reusable, scalable UI components and workflows using React/Next.js and TypeScript.
- Implement features with strong attention to interaction design, edge cases, reliability, and performance.
- Improve frontend performance and responsiveness; optimize for accessibility and responsive design.
- Participate in and lead code reviews; maintain high engineering standards and test coverage.
- Collaborate closely with UX, visual design, product, and backend teams to align on interactions and structure.
- Drive frontend infrastructure, tooling, CI/CD integration, and best practices across the product portfolio.
- Support integration with authentication systems (OIDC/OAuth2, token-based auth, SSO) and backend REST APIs.
- Travel up to 10% as required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience.
- Proven experience with React.js/Next.js and TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs and modern authentication (OIDC/OAuth2, token-based auth, SSO).
- Understanding of accessibility, responsive design, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with unit and integration testing; experience with Git and modern developer tooling.
- Experience with frontend hosting and delivery (e.g., AWS CloudFront/S3) and CI/CD workflows.
Nice-to-have:
- Backend development, CI/CD pipeline development, or infrastructure-as-code experience.
- Experience with embedded systems, hardware-integrated software, real-time data acquisition, or IoT platforms.
- Knowledge of hardware communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART).
- Contributions to open-source projects or active GitHub repositories; familiarity with Agile/Scrum.
- Experience using GenAI tools.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline.
