Senior Front-End Power Engineer
Role Summary
Member of the Switch u/arch team responsible for pre-silicon power optimization and analysis for NVIDIA Switch products. Collaborate with architects, performance and software engineers, ASIC designers, and physical design teams to analyze full-chip and unit-level power data and drive improvements in energy efficiency.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include power analysis, modelling, and working with design teams to reduce energy consumption.
- Use internal and industry-standard pre-silicon gate-level and RTL power analysis tools to improve product power efficiency.
- Develop and share best practices for pre-silicon power analysis.
- Perform comparative power analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and candidates for deeper investigation.
- Work with architects and RTL designers to interpret power data, identify power bugs, and drive fixes.
- Select and run a variety of workloads for power analysis and evaluation.
- Prototype architectural features in Verilog and validate via power analysis.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in chip design.
- Familiarity with Verilog and ASIC design or verification.
- Strong coding and automation skills; preferably Python, Perl, and C++.
- Good interpersonal and collaboration skills for frequent cross-team interaction.
- Desire to apply data-driven analysis to inform architectural and design decisions.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Power Artist and PTPX (PrimeTime/PrimePower RTL, RTL Architect).
- Strong understanding of energy consumption concepts, data movement, estimation, and low-power design techniques.
Education Requirements
BSc or MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (as listed in the posting).
