Job Title

Senior FPGA Verification Engineer

Role Summary

The Imaging team at Anduril develops imaging systems combining hardware and software for defense applications. This role leads FPGA/RTL verification for new product lines, working with cross-functional teams to move designs from prototype through testing to production.

Experience Level

Senior - typically requires 8+ years of relevant FPGA/HDL development and verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on architecture, implementation, and leadership of RTL verification efforts.

  • Design verification environment architecture using SystemVerilog or OVM/UVM.
  • Write test plans and testcases; track code and functional coverage.
  • Develop testbenches for RTL blocks using VHDL and/or SystemVerilog.
  • Recommend tools and practices to improve ASIC/FPGA verification flow.
  • Estimate verification effort for new programs and contribute to proposals.
  • Provide technical leadership: decompose verification tasks, plan activities, and report status.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and qualifications are listed first; preferred items follow.

  • Must-have: 8+ years developing HDL firmware for FPGA devices.
  • Must-have: Professional experience developing and simulating RTL using VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • Must-have: Proven ability to design, implement, and execute verification testbenches using VHDL and/or SystemVerilog.
  • Must-have: Experience with chip-level verification methodologies: constrained-random testing, functional coverage analysis, and assertion-based verification (SystemVerilog).
  • Must-have: Experience using revision control systems such as Git or Subversion.
  • Must-have: Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Nice-to-have: ASIC/FPGA lab validation and debug experience; familiarity with DFT, manufacturability, and production test concepts.
  • Nice-to-have: Proficiency with Unix/Linux and scripting or software development (C, C++, Python, Perl, shell).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with standard ASIC/FPGA simulation and synthesis tools (e.g., QuestaSim, Synplify, Quartus, Vivado).

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is typically required.
