Senior FPGA Verification Engineer
AndurilJob Title
Senior FPGA Verification Engineer
Role Summary
The Imaging team at Anduril develops imaging systems combining hardware and software for defense applications. This role leads FPGA/RTL verification for new product lines, working with cross-functional teams to move designs from prototype through testing to production.
Experience Level
Senior - typically requires 8+ years of relevant FPGA/HDL development and verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on architecture, implementation, and leadership of RTL verification efforts.
- Design verification environment architecture using SystemVerilog or OVM/UVM.
- Write test plans and testcases; track code and functional coverage.
- Develop testbenches for RTL blocks using VHDL and/or SystemVerilog.
- Recommend tools and practices to improve ASIC/FPGA verification flow.
- Estimate verification effort for new programs and contribute to proposals.
- Provide technical leadership: decompose verification tasks, plan activities, and report status.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and qualifications are listed first; preferred items follow.
- Must-have: 8+ years developing HDL firmware for FPGA devices.
- Must-have: Professional experience developing and simulating RTL using VHDL and/or Verilog.
- Must-have: Proven ability to design, implement, and execute verification testbenches using VHDL and/or SystemVerilog.
- Must-have: Experience with chip-level verification methodologies: constrained-random testing, functional coverage analysis, and assertion-based verification (SystemVerilog).
- Must-have: Experience using revision control systems such as Git or Subversion.
- Must-have: Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Nice-to-have: ASIC/FPGA lab validation and debug experience; familiarity with DFT, manufacturability, and production test concepts.
- Nice-to-have: Proficiency with Unix/Linux and scripting or software development (C, C++, Python, Perl, shell).
- Nice-to-have: Experience with standard ASIC/FPGA simulation and synthesis tools (e.g., QuestaSim, Synplify, Quartus, Vivado).
Education Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is typically required.
