Senior FPGA Test Engineer, Intelligence Systems
Role Summary
Join Anduril's Intelligence Systems team in Reston, VA to develop, test, and deploy FPGA designs on Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms for intelligence customers. The role focuses on digital logic design, hands-on hardware bring-up, and delivering production-quality FPGA solutions that meet system requirements.

Senior - requires 8+ years of professional FPGA design and development experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include full life-cycle FPGA engineering from concept through board bring-up and system-level testing.
- Develop, simulate, and implement FPGA designs on Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms.
- Integrate third-party IP and adapt vendor IP as required.
- Participate in requirements, architecture, design, and verification activities.
- Perform hands-on hardware bring-up and investigate/resolove bugs at HDL and system levels.
- Implement and validate interfaces for high-speed communications (Ethernet, serial) and signal-processing functions.
- Ensure designs meet applicable safety and performance requirements with traceability to system-level requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear technical documentation.
- Travel regularly (up to 25%) to other company locations for testing and integration.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, clearance, and professional attributes.
- 8+ years of professional FPGA design and development experience, with production delivery experience.
- Strong proficiency in VHDL and/or Verilog.
- Experience with Xilinx SoC platforms and FPGA toolchains (Vivado preferred; ModelSim or Quartus acceptable).
- Experience with SoC hardware bring-up, preferably on ARM-based systems.
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance and ability to maintain it.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
Nice-to-have:
- Expertise in SystemVerilog and designing for safety-critical functions.
- Experience with high-speed FPGA interfaces and buses.
- Low-level firmware (C/C++) experience for bring-up and test.
- Prior work on systems-on-chip (SoC) designs.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
