Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum 6 years of FPGA design experience; 4 years with a Master of Science; 2 years with a PhD.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include:

  • Architect and design digital systems for wireless communication projects.
  • Implement fixed-point signal-processing blocks in RTL and collaborate with systems engineers.
  • Write RTL, develop simulations and test benches, and perform hardware verification.
  • Perform FPGA synthesis, timing closure, and optimization for high-utilization designs.
  • Troubleshoot hardware using logic analyzers and other debug tools.
  • Support RF and software engineering teams during integration and field testing.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical qualifications:

  • Must-have: Minimum 6 years of demonstrated FPGA design experience (or 4 years with an MS, 2 years with a PhD).
  • Proven experience with fixed-point binary arithmetic and digital signal-processing implementations.
  • Experience developing and closing timing on multi-clock-domain, high-utilization FPGA designs.
  • Experience with Xilinx FPGAs, SoCs, and the Vivado IDE.
  • Hands-on experience with RTL simulation, testbench development, synthesis, and hardware verification.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; employment contingent upon successful background check.
  • Nice-to-have: MATLAB experience; experience with communication systems implemented on FPGA or ASIC.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Preferred: Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE). PhD referenced as reducing experience requirement. The posting specifies experience-to-degree equivalencies: 6 years without an advanced degree; 4 years with an MS; 2 years with a PhD.
