Role Summary

Senior FPGA Engineer responsible for designing and implementing digital logic and embedded FPGA-based systems for underwater audio technology. You'll develop Verilog/SystemVerilog designs, implement high-speed DSP algorithms in hardware, and create custom IP used in production products.

This role sits on a small engineering team focused on bringing novel underwater audio products to market.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 5+ years of FPGA engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and develop embedded systems built on FPGA technology.
• Create digital logic using Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Implement high-speed DSP algorithms in digital logic for real-time audio processing.
• Develop custom FPGA IP cores from scratch.
• Use simulation tools and write custom test utilities to validate designs.

Requirements

Must-have and desired skills:

• Must-have: 5+ years of FPGA engineering experience.
• Must-have: Proven ability to write mathematical algorithms to run on a GPU in Windows.
• Must-have: Proficiency with Verilog and SystemVerilog for digital logic design.
• Must-have: Hands-on experience with C or embedded C; experience with MATLAB and/or Python.
• Must-have: Experience implementing high-speed DSP algorithms in digital logic.
• Must-have: Authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with FPGA simulation tools and creating custom test utilities.

Education Requirements
