Senior FPGA Engineer — Verilog & Digital Logic Design

Role Summary

As a Senior FPGA Engineer you will design and implement FPGA-based embedded systems for underwater audio applications. You will develop digital logic and high-speed DSP implementations, create custom IP cores, and validate designs with simulation and test utilities.

The role is part of a small engineering team focused on prototyping and product development, with emphasis on performance, signal processing, and integration with host software.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 5+ years of FPGA engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Design and develop embedded systems built on FPGA technology.
• Create digital logic using Verilog/SystemVerilog and develop custom IP cores.
• Implement high-speed DSP algorithms in digital logic.
• Develop and run simulations, build custom test utilities, and validate designs.
• Collaborate with software and algorithm teams to integrate FPGA code with host systems.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and constraints:

• 5+ years of FPGA engineering experience.
• Proven ability to implement mathematical algorithms for GPU execution on Windows.
• Experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog for digital logic design.
• Hands-on programming experience in C, embedded C, MATLAB, and/or Python.
• Right to work in the United States; no sponsorship available.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience developing custom IP cores and working with simulation tools and testbenches.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
