Experience Level

Senior β€” typically requires 8+ years of professional FPGA design and development experience.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on full lifecycle FPGA development and hands-on hardware bring-up for signal processing and communication systems.

  • Participate in requirements, architecture, HDL design, verification, and board bring-up.
  • Implement designs on Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms, integrating third-party IP as needed.
  • Develop and verify VHDL/Verilog RTL and run simulations (ModelSim, Vivado, etc.).
  • Implement and validate high-speed communication interfaces (Ethernet, serial) and signal-processing pipelines.
  • Perform SoC hardware bring-up and low-level debug at HDL and system levels.
  • Ensure designs meet performance and safety requirements with traceability to system-level requirements.

Requirements

Key qualifications and skills required or strongly preferred.

  • Must have: 8+ years professional FPGA design and development experience.
  • Must have: Proficiency in VHDL and/or Verilog and experience with simulation and FPGA toolflows (ModelSim, Vivado, Quartus).
  • Must have: Hands-on experience with FPGA hardware bring-up and board-level debugging, including SoC platforms.
  • Must have: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Must have: Currently holds and can maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Nice to have: Experience with Xilinx SoC devices and Vivado toolchain; experience with ARM-based systems.
  • Nice to have: Experience designing for safety-critical functions, high-speed bus interfaces, and low-level firmware (C/C++) for bring-up and test.
