The role covers architecture, RTL implementation, verification, and system integration with hardware, software, and research teams.
Experience Level
Senior-level: expected multiple years of FPGA engineering experience and technical leadership on design and delivery.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Architect and implement FPGA designs on Xilinx devices for real‑time control, DSP, and high‑speed data acquisition.
- Develop RTL using SystemVerilog/Verilog and drive synthesis, timing closure, and CDC solutions.
- Define and execute verification plans; integrate FPGA subsystems with software and board‑level hardware.
- Optimize performance and resource usage; develop automation and test tooling in Python.
- Collaborate with research, hardware, and software teams; diagnose and resolve system‑level issues.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Strong FPGA development experience targeting Xilinx devices.
- Expert knowledge of SystemVerilog or Verilog.
- Experience with high‑speed interfaces, DSP, and real‑time systems.
- Proven understanding of timing closure, clock‑domain crossing, and verification methodologies.
- Python for automation, testing, or tooling.
- Background in scientific instrumentation, communications, semiconductors, advanced computing, or other complex hardware environments.
Education Requirements
