Role Summary
Senior FPGA Engineer on the FPGA development team responsible for architecting and implementing ultra‑low‑latency, reliable FPGA solutions that support end‑to‑end trading systems. Work closely with traders, quants, and other technologists to translate performance requirements into hardware designs and deployment plans.

Responsibilities
Own design and delivery of FPGA-based components that meet low-latency and reliability targets; collaborate across teams to prioritize and implement improvements.
- Define and implement architectural vision focused on ultra‑low latency and reliability.
- Collaborate with senior technology leaders, traders, and quants to refine platform design and priorities.
- Develop implementation roadmaps to deliver incremental trading performance improvements and long-term architecture changes.
- Lead design implementation, perform and participate in code reviews, and enforce best practices for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Design, implement, and optimize FPGA logic using HDL; create and maintain testbenches and automation.
- Integrate FPGA designs with software tools and system components; validate via simulation and hardware testing.
- Troubleshoot timing, resource, and interface issues; drive to production-ready releases.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and proven experience needed to perform the role; followed by preferred skills.

Must-have: Proven FPGA development experience and history of shipping production designs.
- Advanced proficiency in HDLs, especially SystemVerilog or VHDL.
- Experience using Python and/or C++ for tooling, testbenches, automation, or integrations.
- Solid understanding of computer architectures and hardware/software interaction.
- Familiarity with modern design and testing practices, simulation, and timing closure.

Nice-to-have: Experience in financial markets or trading environments.
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/UDP and multicast and high-speed serial interfaces.
