Role Summary
Lead FPGA design and verification efforts for advanced microelectronics programs supporting a mission in Lexington, MA. Deliver architecture, circuit-level design, testing, and sustainment across FPGA device families and packaging, and provide technical advice for strategic engineering assessments.
Experience Level
Senior β 7+ years of FPGA development and research experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include designing, verifying, and sustaining FPGA-based systems and providing technical leadership.
- Lead design, development, test, and sustainment of advanced microelectronics systems and associated trust programs.
- Provide technical and programmatic advice for advanced systems, sensors, and computer processing technologies.
- Advise and assist with technical assessments, strategic planning, and engineering evaluations.
- Develop hardware design specifications and perform circuit-level design and technical planning.
- Perform functional analysis, trade studies, and requirements allocation to meet customer needs.
- Lead and participate in hardware architecture planning and generation of functional block diagrams.
- Participate in verification, testing, and integration activities for FPGA solutions.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, clearance, and relevant experience.
- Active Secret clearance.
- 7+ years of FPGA development experience across multiple device families and platforms.
- Experience with Hardware Description Languages (HDL) and embedded design for systems-on-chip or FPGAs.
- Experience with verification methodologies and creating test benches.
- Knowledge of hardware and design security concepts.
- Familiarity with HDL alternatives such as HDL Coder or Xilinx System Generator.
- Preferred: experience with defense microelectronics verification, IP blocks, Universal Verification Methodology (UVM), and continuous integration practices.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required. Preferred: Master's or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
