Senior FPGA Development Kit Technical Lead Engineer
Role Summary
Lead the end-to-end development and delivery of FPGA development kits and evaluation platforms, overseeing board architecture, RTL, firmware, validation, manufacturing, and supply chain execution. Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams, offshore design centers, ODM/JDM partners, contract manufacturers, and suppliers to deliver kits on schedule and at target cost.

Senior β requires 10+ years of relevant professional engineering experience in FPGA platforms, board development, or closely related hardware roles.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, program execution, and cross-functional coordination for development kit projects.
- Lead end-to-end development of FPGA development kits across architecture, RTL, firmware, and platform engineering.
- Manage manufacturing execution with contract manufacturers, PCB fabricators, and assembly partners.
- Drive BOM planning, cost optimization, part availability management, and engineering change orders.
- Coordinate functional validation, manufacturing test development, and system-level test activities.
- Serve as central technical point of contact for internal teams, offshore centers, external design partners, and suppliers.
- Identify and mitigate execution risks; apply lessons learned to improve design methods and platform robustness.
Requirements

- Must have: 10+ years of hands-on experience with FPGA-based boards, development/evaluation kits, or complex hardware platforms.
- Must have: Practical experience with digital and analog/RF circuitry and board-level functional and system-level test methodologies.
- Must have: Experience with RTL, firmware, hardware test environments, and driving cross-functional engineering teams.
- Must have: Strong program management skills for coordinating suppliers, contract manufacturers, and offshore partners.
- Must have: Effective communication, mentoring, and leadership skills across global engineering organizations.
- Nice to have: Working knowledge of Quartus tool flow; experience with manufacturing test, HDMI, SDI, multi-gigabit Ethernet, FPGA transceivers, DDR5/LPDDR5, and PCIe interfaces.
Education Requirements
