Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Lead FPGA architecture, design, and implementation using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Develop and maintain UVM-based verification environments and testbenches.
• Write and integrate embedded C code for on-board processors and firmware interaction.
• Perform synthesis, timing closure, and implementation for target FPGAs.
• Debug hardware at board and system level; support bring-up and validation.
• Collaborate with system, hardware, and firmware engineers to meet product requirements.
• Produce design documentation, participate in design reviews, and lead technical decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce code review and version-control practices.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Proven Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL design experience for FPGA projects.
• Experience with UVM or comparable verification methodologies.
• Embedded C programming for microcontrollers or soft-core processors.
• Hands-on FPGA implementation experience: synthesis, P&R, timing analysis.
• Familiarity with simulation, synthesis, and verification toolchains.
• Experience with hardware debug tools (logic analyzer, JTAG, lab instruments).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to lead cross-functional work.
• Willingness to work onsite in Cincinnati, OH.
