Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification and bring-up activities and driving cross-functional debugging to production-ready firmware.

  • Define and execute firmware verification plans and test cases for embedded systems.
  • Perform hardware bring-up, validate interfaces, and isolate firmware/hardware failures.
  • Develop and maintain testbenches, automation scripts, and continuous test infrastructure.
  • Debug complex integration issues across firmware, drivers, and silicon.
  • Collaborate with SoC designers, validation, and software teams to close hardware/firmware defects.
  • Document verification results, root causes, and recommended fixes.

Must-have:

  • Experience in firmware development and verification for embedded/SoC platforms.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and scripting (Python, shell) for test automation.
  • Experience with bring-up and debugging using JTAG, serial consoles, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Practical experience integrating firmware with bootloaders, device drivers, and board bring-up procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and cross-team communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with Linux kernel subsystems, boot flows, or real-time operating systems.
  • Background in hardware verification methodologies or knowledge of digital interfaces (PCIe, I2C, SPI, USB).
  • Experience building automated verification frameworks and continuous integration for firmware tests.
