Role Summary
Join the NIC Firmware Core team focused on simulation for network adapters and verification infrastructure. The role drives firmware and verification tooling across simulators and real-time environments and interfaces with hardware and software teams.
Experience Level
Senior level — typically 5+ years of relevant experience in verification, testing, or firmware development.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing verification frameworks, improving automation and performance, and collaborating across hardware and software teams.
- Implement and integrate design and verification frameworks for simulator and real-time environments.
- Develop and improve automation and performance for verification flows.
- Collaborate with chip design, software, and architecture teams to define firmware flows.
- Lead feature development and take ownership from specification through delivery.
Requirements
Core skills and experience needed.
- 5+ years of experience with verification and testing methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of C++ and object-oriented design.
- Good understanding of Linux and computer architecture.
- Ability to work across disciplines: chip design, verification, firmware, software, and architecture.
- Proven ability to lead features and take end-to-end ownership.
- Effective teammate with strong interpersonal skills and self-directed learning ability.
Nice-to-have skills:
- Embedded C programming experience.
- Familiarity with networking protocols and scripting languages.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering specified in the posting.
