Senior Field Applications Engineer (FAE)
Role Summary
Senior FAE to support strategic customers in datacenter, AI, server, and advanced computing markets. Based in the San Jose, CA area, the role combines hands-on technical execution, customer-facing support, system-level power expertise, and program ownership.

Responsibilities
The role provides customer technical support, validation, debug, and program execution for server/AI power delivery solutions.
- Act as primary technical interface for customer accounts from design through production.
- Provide guidance on digital multiphase power controllers, power modules, and server-class power delivery.
- Support schematic/layout reviews, board bring-up, debug, and system validation.
- Perform VR simulations (SIMPLIS) and validation of multiphase power solutions: transient response, efficiency, telemetry, protection.
- Develop and maintain test plans, validation checklists, and coverage matrices.
- Diagnose electrical and system issues using oscilloscopes, electronic loads, current probes, network analyzers, and related lab equipment.
- Drive timely root-cause analysis, escalate when needed, and own customer communication and follow-through.
- Coordinate with Sales, Product Line, Marketing, and engineering to manage multiple customer activities and drive design adoption.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required to perform the role.
- Minimum 5 years experience in power electronics, voltage regulator validation, power applications, or system-level power architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with bench-level electrical testing and debug methodologies.
- Practical use of oscilloscopes, function generators, electronic loads, power supplies, current probes, and soldering tools.
- Experience supporting customer technical issues through structured debug and problem solving.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with engineers and customer stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent technical activities with urgency and ownership.

Nice-to-have: experience with AI/ML, CPU/GPU/server power delivery, multiphase buck converters, SIMPLIS, validation planning, and test automation.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field (e.g., power electronics, electrical engineering). No certifications or explicit equivalent-experience language was specified.
