Senior Field Application Engineer - MPU

Role Summary

Provide technical field-application support and product promotion for NXP MPU platforms to customers in networking and edge applications. Work with global design, applications, and marketing teams to identify customer requirements and drive projects from design through mass production.

Experience Level

Senior level — requires 5+ years of embedded hardware or software experience, especially for networking equipment.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include customer-facing technical support, project coordination, and issue resolution.

• Collaborate with worldwide design, applications, and marketing teams to promote NXP MPU products.
• Identify customer requirements and new product opportunities for MPU platforms.
• Support customers on design, debugging, and troubleshooting from design-in through mass production.
• Track and respond quickly to customer technical and quality issues.
• Coordinate with the team to manage customer projects, schedules, and demand information.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and interpersonal attributes.

• 5+ years embedded hardware or software experience for networking equipment.
• Experience with Linux driver or real-time OS driver/BSP development.
• Familiarity with ARMv7 and ARMv8 architectures.
• Good knowledge of digital networking and communication theory.
• Strong communication skills and team-player attitude; self-motivated and willing to learn.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Nice-to-have: GenAI and Edge AI experience (multi-agent use, model compiling/tuning/quantization on edge devices).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
