Senior Field Application Engineer - Automotive MCU
Role Summary
Provide customer-facing technical support and enablement for Automotive MCU platforms across automotive domains (Body/Zone Controllers, Infotainment/Radio/Audio). Work with customer engineering teams, internal AE/R&D/product groups, and account teams to ensure project execution, issue resolution, and successful adoption of MCU solutions.

Senior β guidance from the posting: 3β5 years of experience in automotive electronics, embedded systems, or customer-facing technical roles.
Responsibilities
Deliver technical support and account enablement for MCU-based automotive projects across development, validation, and early production.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support and act as the primary technical contact for assigned customers.
- Support MCU bring-up, peripheral configuration, system integration, and NPI phases.
- Debug and resolve hardware, embedded software, and system-level issues; use JTAG, trace, logging and memory analysis tools.
- Support AUTOSAR Classic (CP) integration and embedded BSP/driver issues.
- Advise on Automotive Cybersecurity (secure boot, secure communication, key usage) and Functional Safety (ISO 26262) impacts.
- Run technical workshops, demos, and customer design reviews; document and follow up on issues and project status.
- Coordinate escalations with internal AE, R&D, and product teams.

Must-have: 3β5 years in automotive electronics, embedded systems, or customer-facing technical roles (FAE/Application Engineer/Support).

Must-have: Practical experience supporting customer projects (bring-up, integration, field support).

Must-have: Experience with Automotive MCU platforms and common MCU peripherals (ADC, timers, PWM, DMA, comm interfaces).

Must-have: Embedded software experience: BSPs, peripheral drivers, debugging tools (JTAG, trace, logging); ability to diagnose HW/SW interaction issues.

Must-have: Customer-facing communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects; willingness to travel domestically and internationally; English for technical communication.

Nice-to-have: AUTOSAR Classic (CP) integration experience, exposure to Automotive Ethernet/TSN, experience with OEMs or Tierβ1s.

Nice-to-have: GenAI / Edge AI experience (agent usage, model compiling/tuning/quantization) for edge deployments.
