Senior Engineer (Verification)
Role Summary
As a Senior Verification Engineer within the Solution Engineering division, you will verify RTL for ARM SoC features, ensuring new functionality meets architectural requirements and existing features remain unaffected. You will work with RTL designers and other verification engineers to develop and maintain verification environments and strategies.
Team: Solution Engineering - IP verification for SoC projects integrating third-party TPIP products.
Experience Level
Senior - minimum of 3 years of IP/SoC verification experience; expects experience leading verification activities and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing and executing verification environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate SoC RTL.
- Collaborate with RTL designers to understand microarchitecture and implementation details.
- Develop and extend verification environments, including stimulus generators and checkers.
- Verify that new features behave as specified and do not regress existing functionality.
- Define and implement verification strategies in coordination with other verification engineers.
- Write verification and test plans and contribute to continuous improvement of verification methodology.
- Mentor early-tenure verification engineers and share best practices.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred technical skills and experience.
Must-have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IP/SoC verification.
- Advanced proficiency in SystemVerilog and Verilog; deep knowledge of UVM methodology.
- Experience with SoC verification using C testcases and with testbench development.
- Experience writing verification plans and test plans.
- Experience with ARM-based designs or ARM system architectures.
- Experience with scripting (Perl, Python, or similar).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for distributed teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with AMBA protocols (CHI, AXI, AHB, APB) and JTAG.
- Experience with power management, clock-domain and reset-domain crossing.
- Exposure to low-power design techniques (UPF/CPF).
- Experience with DFT concepts such as scan and Mbist.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
