Senior Engineer - Testing

Role Summary

Lead testing activities for power products at the Sriperumbudur/Chennai site. Own shift operations, test equipment setup, troubleshooting, failure recovery and ECN implementation to meet production yield and quality targets.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in power product testing and ATE systems.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include operating and improving testing processes, coordinating with global teams and production, and maintaining test equipment and yields.

• Manage overall shift testing activities and report to the supervisor.
• Troubleshoot and support automated and manual tester setup (Chroma, Sinvo, Guanjia and similar ATEs).
• Maintain and operate test equipment (Chroma Hi-Pot, power meters, programmable AC sources, DC electronic loads, industrial PCs).
• Handle failure recovery, implement engineering change notices (ECNs) and coordinate corrective actions.
• Work with process and production teams to improve yield and reduce downtime and failures.
• Perform tester preventive maintenance and related activities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• Minimum 5+ years of similar testing experience in power products.
• Strong hands-on experience with Chroma ATEs.
• Experience in automated and manual power-product machine setup and troubleshooting.
• Experience with power product testing platforms and tester preventive maintenance.
