Job Title
Senior Engineer, Test Engineering - Product Development
Role Summary
Design and develop test hardware and software for first-silicon verification, characterization, qualification, and high-volume manufacturing of precision analog and mixed-signal products for Automotive customers. Work on multi-site, cost-effective test solutions including ATE integration, PCB interfaces, and test program development.
Position is based in Norwood, MA with a partial telecommute benefit (up to 2 days/week). Member of the product development/test engineering team collaborating with design, systems/applications, and manufacturing groups.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting requires at least 3 years of relevant product and test engineering experience; role assumes experience leading test development and transferring solutions to manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include design, development, debugging, and production support for test solutions:
- Design and develop test solutions for first-silicon verification, characterization, qualification, wafer probe, and final test.
- Create and debug multi-site printed circuit board test hardware and define test schematics for ATE interfaces.
- Develop and debug test programs on Advantest V93000 ATE and correlate ATE measurements to bench results.
- Translate design verification tests (including Verilog test cases) to the ATE platform for IC debugging and manufacturing tests.
- Support transfer of production test solutions to manufacturing sites and work with manufacturing to maintain yield and quality.
- Troubleshoot customer returns and perform ATE and bench debugging to meet automotive quality requirements.
- Participate in new product development teams, evaluate new test systems, and manage project schedules aligned with product introduction.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience (concise):
- Minimum of three years' experience as a product/test engineer developing Automotive test solutions for analog or mixed-signal ICs.
- Demonstrated expertise programming in C/C++ and scripting on Linux for device test and automation.
- Demonstrated expertise designing and debugging custom PCB hardware to interface with Advantest V93000 ATE.
- Demonstrated expertise developing software and test programs on the Advantest V93000 platform.
- Demonstrated expertise developing functional and electrical tests, simulating Verilog test cases, and translating them to ATE for characterization and production.
- Experience using Exensio and SAS JMP (or equivalent statistical tools) to analyze characterization and production data and monitor yield.
- Experience performing ATE and bench debugging of automotive customer returns and familiarity with automotive quality requirements.
- Knowledge of circuit design, silicon processing, and electronic reliability.
Nice-to-have: prior high-volume manufacturing test transfers and experience improving test cost and throughput.
