Senior Engineer, Test Engineering - Product Development
Role Summary
The Senior Test Engineer will design, develop, and implement test methods, diagnostic programs, and test fixtures to validate products during development and manufacturing. This role leads test strategy, drives troubleshooting and continuous improvement, and mentors junior engineers.
Work is performed within a product development test engineering team supporting multiple product lines and qualification efforts.
Experience Level
Senior β typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience in test engineering or a related discipline; experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers is expected.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include design and execution of test strategies, developing test hardware and software, and ensuring products meet quality and qualification requirements.
- Lead test case development and implement comprehensive test strategies across multiple product lines.
- Design and execute diagnostic tests to identify complex performance issues during development.
- Design, specify, and oversee manufacture of advanced test fixtures and equipment.
- Create and standardize test setups, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistent results and compliance with standards.
- Plan and coordinate resources, schedules, and equipment across projects to meet testing timelines.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex system and equipment issues.
- Develop and improve quality assurance and testing processes; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Spearhead qualification testing to meet market and customer requirements, providing technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Design and oversee PCB layouts for test setups and evaluation boards used in product validation.

- Proven experience designing and delivering complex test fixtures and equipment with cost-awareness.
- Strong capability in writing clear, repeatable test procedures and standardizing test setups.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for complex systems and ability to lead root-cause investigations.
- Knowledge of quality and qualification testing methodologies and experience improving test processes.
- Advanced PCB design skills for test and evaluation hardware.
- Project leadership experience and ability to mentor junior engineers (preferred).
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% as required.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
