Senior Engineer, Test Engineering - Product Development
Role Summary
The ASIC BU PTE team in ADI Bangalore develops production-ready hardware and software test solutions for mixed-signal and digital SoC devices. This role designs probe and ATE test solutions, develops ATE software, and drives test development from silicon bring-up through offshore production release.
Experience Level
Senior role. Requires approximately 4β5 years of hands-on experience in mixed-signal or digital test engineering.
Responsibilities
Provide technical ownership for test solution design, software, and production release activities.
- Design probe and test solutions on high-performance ATE platforms (e.g., Teradyne UltraFlex, 93K) for multisite parallel testing.
- Develop and maintain ATE software according to specifications and release test programs to production test houses.
- Collaborate with design teams on DFT/BIST definition and implementation to improve testability and reduce FFC.
- Lead test development phases: silicon bring-up, characterization, yield analysis, correlation, and offshore production release.
- Troubleshoot and design ATE high-speed digital hardware and layouts; work with reliability engineers on product qualification.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience.
- 4β5 years' hands-on experience in mixed-signal or digital test engineering.
- Experience with ATE software development and working knowledge of Teradyne Flex and/or 93K systems.
- Proficiency in Perl and C++ and strong analytical/statistical skills for yield and correlation analysis.
- Experience in ATE high-speed digital hardware design and layout and releasing multisite test programs to offshore production.
- Familiarity with bench equipment such as oscilloscopes, VI meters, signal generators, and analyzers.
- Proactive, self-motivated, able to work with limited supervision; strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
Education Requirements
Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (e.g., Bachelor's) required.
