Job Title

Senior Engineer, Test Engineering - Product Development

Role Summary

Join the ASIC Product Test Engineering (PTE) team within ADI's Digital Business Unit in Bangalore. The role focuses on developing production-ready hardware and software test solutions for complex mixed-signal and digital SoC products.

Primary mission: design probe and test solutions, develop ATE software, collaborate on DFT/BIST and enable offshore production release.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting requests a minimum of 4–5 years of hands-on experience in mixed-signal or digital test.

Responsibilities

Execute test development across silicon bring-up, characterization, yield analysis and production release; contribute to hardware and software test solutions.

  • Design probe and test solutions on high-performance mixed-signal/digital ATE platforms (primarily Teradyne Ultra-Flex and 93K) for multi-site parallel testing.
  • Develop ATE software according to specifications and deliver robust, production-ready test programs.
  • Collaborate with design teams on DFT/BIST definition to improve testability and reduce failures.
  • Perform silicon functionality verification, characterization, yield analysis and correlation for offshore production release.

Requirements

Required technical skills and experience for immediate contribution.

  • Must-have: 4–5 years' hands-on experience in mixed-signal or digital test engineering.
  • Must-have: Experience with ATE software development and practical knowledge of Teradyne Flex and/or 93K systems.
  • Must-have: Strong analytical and statistical skills; programming experience in Perl and/or C++.
  • Must-have: Experience in ATE high-speed digital hardware design and layout; ability to diagnose hardware limitations.
  • Must-have: Experience releasing multi-site test programs to offshore production test houses and working with bench equipment (oscilloscope, VI meter, signal generators, analyzers).
  • Must-have: Able to work independently, proactively, and collaborate with reliability/qualification engineers; effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Other: Willingness to travel up to ~10% and work standard day shift.

Education Requirements

Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required (the posting specifies a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering). No specific level (BSc/MSc/PhD) or alternate-equivalent language was provided.
