Job Title

Senior Engineer, Test Engineering

Role Summary

Design and deliver high-performance test solutions for first-silicon verification, characterization, qualification, and manufacturing of precision analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. Work with design, systems, and manufacturing teams to transfer test methods from design verification to automatic test equipment and support production yield and quality.

Position supports new product development, production test transfers, and ongoing product support. Partial telecommute: 2 days/week work from home.

Experience Level

Senior role. The posting requires at least three (3) years of experience as a Test Engineer or in a related occupation developing product test solutions for analog or mixed-signal ICs.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing test hardware and software, debugging test systems, and supporting production release and yield.

  • Design and develop multi-site test hardware and PCBs for wafer probe and final test.
  • Develop and debug test programs and correlate production test results with bench measurements.
  • Create cost-effective test methods for characterization, qualification, and manufacturing.
  • Transfer test solutions to manufacturing sites and support production yield and quality.
  • Participate in new product development teams and evaluate test systems for future applications.
  • Manage project schedules to align with product introduction and release.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution.

  • Expert programming in object-oriented and scripting languages for analog/digital device test.
  • Expertise with design verification tools and flows (Verilog, Verilog simulators, SPICE or equivalent).
  • Expertise developing software on major ATE platforms to test ICs using custom PCBs interfacing to ATE.
  • Experience designing software and hardware to characterize and production-test state-of-the-art ICs.
  • Experience using statistical analysis tools and generating validation-oriented reports to set test limits and datasheet parameters.
  • Track record participating in design-for-test, product qualification, and supporting products in production.
  • Experience interfacing with Quality, Reliability, Applications, Product Engineering, Assembly, Failure Analysis, and Global Operations to release products to production.

Education Requirements

Must have a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field (foreign educational equivalents accepted). The posting requires three (3) years of relevant Test Engineering experience; it notes experience and skills may be obtained during a PhD program.
