Job Title
Senior Engineer, Technology - AMAIS
Role Summary
Deliver model-driven solutions for DRAM module technology development. Lead development of composite, physics-based models and provide predictive modeling insights to support process, PI, and product integration teams.
Experience Level
Senior β typically expects experienced engineers with multiple years of relevant industry experience (senior-level technical contributor).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include developing and applying multiscale structural and stress models to guide DRAM module design and process integration.
- Develop composite models grounded in structural and stress physics to enable module co-optimization across wafer- and die-level metrics.
- Extract insights from predictive models, images, and data; communicate findings to engineering teams and leaders.
- Collaborate across functions to integrate ML and advanced algorithmic solutions into composite models.
- Train robust computational and AI models on sparse, high-dimensional datasets.
- Build structural models that integrate process flow, layout, materials, and thermo-mechanical response.
- Apply multiscale stress modeling to assess stress, strain, deformation, cracking, voiding, and layout-related risk.
- Partner with layout, PI, and integration teams to guide design and integration decisions.
- Support root-cause analysis and predictive risk assessment using physics-based models augmented with data.
- Drive model-informed process integration strategies to improve yield.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
- Advanced multiscale structural and stress modeling expertise.
- Strong foundation in numerical methods and high-performance computing (HPC).
- Practical experience with ML/AI algorithms and relevant libraries for dynamic, high-dimensional data.
- Proficient programming skills in C++ and Python; comfortable in Linux environments.
- Experience working in cloud or HPC compute environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and leadership updates.
Preferred:
- Exposure to layout-aware stress analysis or process-structure interaction studies.
- Experience in the memory (semiconductor) industry.
- Prior experience as a Process or PI engineer.
- Experience creating enterprise-level documentation and presenting to senior leaders.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree with ~5+ years' experience, Master's degree with ~3+ years, or PhD (or equivalent practical experience) in Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Applied Mathematics/Sciences, or a related technical field.
