Senior Engineer - PDN
ArmJob Title
Senior Engineer - PDN
Role Summary
Develop and deploy power-delivery (PDN) sign-off methodologies and implementation analyses for advanced SoC designs. Work with internal design teams and external partners to improve silicon quality, implementation efficiency, and sign-off confidence for nodes including 2.5D/3D technologies.
Experience Level
Senior β the posting specifies 4+ years of relevant ASIC implementation and PDN/EM/IR experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver production-ready sign-off methodologies and support implementation and sign-off flows.
- Develop PDN sign-off flows for advanced process nodes and 2.5D/3D integration.
- Perform static and dynamic PDN analysis, IR-drop and electro-migration (EM) analysis, and ESD analysis.
- Create and deploy methodologies to improve implementation efficiency and yield.
- Support top- and block-level design implementation and sign-off flows.
- Convert R&D concepts into practical implementation solutions and tooling.
- Provide methodology transfer and enablement for partner teams to improve quality of results.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 4+ years' experience in ASIC implementation, PDN/EM/IR analysis, physical design, and STA on advanced nodes.
- Practical knowledge of the full IC design flow from RTL through GDSII and experience in top/block level sign-off.
- Proven scripting/programming skills (examples: Tcl, Perl, Python, Make).
- Experience developing and adopting silicon implementation techniques and promoting their use across international teams.
- Strong initiative, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with Arm-based SoCs.
- Experience with additional languages/tools (C/C++, R, JavaScript, shell scripting, Ruby, data presentation tools).
- Experience with low-power design techniques (power gating, voltage/frequency scaling).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant technical field as stated in the posting.
