Senior Engineer, OCT CPEE Central Mask Tape out
Role Summary
The Central Mask (CM) Engineer drives reticle quality, process optimization, and operational excellence across Micron's global manufacturing network. The role partners with Mask Technology, OPC, tapeout, and manufacturing teams to define reticle specifications, improve tapeout and fracture workflows, and deploy best-known methods to support technology scaling and high-volume manufacturing.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
The role focuses on reticle readiness, process improvement, troubleshooting, and program leadership across sites.
- Define and maintain reticle specifications with Mask Technology Center and manufacturing stakeholders.
- Improve fracture, tapeout, and reticle preparation processes to raise quality and throughput and reduce cycle time.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reticle, OPC, metrology, and process integration issues with cross-functional teams.
- Lead process improvement projects supporting scalability, efficiency, and high-volume manufacturing growth.
- Evaluate tool and process performance; identify and implement cost- and rework-reduction opportunities.
- Support adoption of best-known methods (BKMs) and standardization across global sites.
- Leverage automation and AI-enabled tools to improve workflows, productivity, and execution.
- Mentor team members and share technical knowledge to strengthen organizational capability.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and skills; preferred items noted separately.
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing, mask operations, lithography, process engineering, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of reticle manufacturing, fracture techniques, CD metrology, and tapeout processes.
- Proven track record leading technical projects and driving process improvements in a manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience troubleshooting cross-functional integration issues involving reticles, OPC, or metrology.
- Good problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills; commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Nice to have: experience applying AI tools, workflow automation, advanced analytics, high-volume manufacturing support, technology transfers, mentoring, and implementing BKMs across sites.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related technical field. (The posting does not state explicit equivalent-experience language.)
