Senior Engineer, MCT Operations Quality
Role Summary
The Senior Engineer will lead global initiatives to identify and eliminate high-risk manual touchpoints across Micron's Assembly & Test (AT) network. The role partners with AT sites, Global Quality, and cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable automation, system solutions, and AI-enabled tools that reduce manual steps, prevent customer events, and improve product quality.

Responsibilities
Lead, validate, and scale programs that remove manual interventions and improve quality across global AT sites:
- Lead global program governance for Manual Touchpoint Reduction, setting strategy and ensuring consistent execution across AT sites.
- Conduct onsite validation of manual touchpoints, identify quality risks, and define elimination approaches.
- Design and deploy scalable solutions via physical automation/robotics, system automation, and predictive quality / generative AI approaches.
- Drive end-to-end process redesigns to remove manual steps upfront.
- Coordinate cross-functional and multi-site stakeholders to enable implementation and rapid replication of proven solutions.
- Define KPIs and scorecards to measure eliminated high-risk manual touchpoints and track progress against timelines.
- Develop AI-enabled dashboards that integrate manufacturing systems to detect manual interventions, monitor compliance, and support continuous improvement.
Requirements
Must-have technical background and experience for the role; nice-to-have items are listed separately.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, Assembly & Test operations, quality engineering, or related technical fields.
- Deep understanding of Assembly & Test manufacturing processes and systems, including Assembly, Test/Post-E, Module/SSD, HBM/PWF.
- Experience leading cross-functional, multi-site improvement programs in a global manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to drive process optimization, automation, and measurable quality improvements.
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, including root-cause analysis and identification of process inefficiencies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Excel); working knowledge of SQL and Python is advantageous.
- Good communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills to drive adoption across sites.
- Baseline digital fluency and ability to use AI-assisted tools for analysis and operational tasks.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
