Role Summary

Senior Product Engineer on the New Product Introduction (NPI) team responsible for ensuring the reliability and manufacturability of integrated FPGA/SOC products from development through production. The role partners with design, test, component engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to qualify products and resolve production issues.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include hands-on qualification, test development, failure analysis, and driving corrective actions to enable product releases.

  • Perform product reliability qualification for next-generation FPGA/SOC products.
  • Design and execute experiments; develop hardware and verify experimental test conditions.
  • Perform statistical and electrical root-cause failure analysis before and after qualification.
  • Resolve release-to-manufacturing issues and drive corrective actions affecting shipments.
  • Support production test flows: define test limits, analyze coverage, and conduct root-cause yield analysis.
  • Validate on-chip components (microprocessors, high-speed I/O such as SERDES and DDR, eNVM, SRAM, charge pumps, PLLs, Analog I/O).
  • Develop software, scripts, and use AI tools to verify and test FPGA/SOC products.
  • Characterize and evaluate device behavior in both production and engineering environments.
  • Document findings and communicate technical issues to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor product engineering or related roles.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor product qualifications; JEDEC required, AECQ-100 / MIL-STD-883 preferred.
  • Understanding of silicon reliability and process failure mechanisms.
  • Hands-on experience with software automation and hardware development.
  • Practical experience with Verilog/VHDL, C, Python, and Perl.
  • Experience using ATE, bench, and wafer test systems.
  • Experience leveraging AI/agentic AI to build tools for compiling, processing, and analyzing data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, ownership, and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Travel: 0%–25%.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent practical experience) required; Master’s degree (MSEE or equivalent) preferred. Fields: Electrical Engineering or closely related technical disciplines; equivalent experience accepted.
