Role Summary
Senior Product Engineer focused on planning and project management to support semiconductor new product introductions, engineering builds, and manufacturing transitions. The role partners with engineering, manufacturing, operations, planning, procurement, quality and business teams to ensure material readiness, capacity alignment, and timely execution.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting requests approximately 5–7.5+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning, coordination, data accuracy, and process improvement to enable predictable execution of engineering and manufacturing activities.
- Support and execute engineering planning for new product introductions, engineering builds, wafer lots, qualification activities, prototype builds and manufacturing transitions.
- Coordinate cross-functional alignment of technical requirements, material readiness, capacity and execution timelines with product engineering, manufacturing, operations, planning, procurement, quality and business teams.
- Develop and apply AI-enabled tools, analytics and automation to improve planning accuracy and new product development efficiency.
- Maintain planning data across engineering systems, including bills of material, routing information, engineering work orders, part records, inventory status and manufacturing readiness indicators.
- Coordinate cross-functional reviews to drive timely communication, proactive problem solving and accountability for deliverables.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort, increase schedule visibility, strengthen data quality and improve execution predictability.
Requirements
Must-have technical background and demonstrated skills for the planning and operations responsibilities described above.
- 5–7.5+ years in engineering planning, manufacturing planning, product engineering support, semiconductor operations, or a closely related technical planning role.
- Practical understanding of semiconductor manufacturing flows: wafer fabrication, assembly, test, qualification, engineering lots and NPI processes.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, analytics and automation opportunities within engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks, technical dependencies, changing priorities and cross-functional deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence across teams without direct authority.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field; equivalent experience may be considered.
