Senior Engineer β HIG HBM PSE, Design Validation
Role Summary
Work on design validation for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products within the Heterogeneous Integration Group (HIG). The role partners with Design, Manufacturing, Test, and Quality to validate HBM designs from design through bring-up, qualification and production.
Primary focus areas include silicon validation, lab hardware/software debug, architecture documentation, and improving validation methodologies for stacked DRAM-plus-logic (TSV) packages.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Seniority will be determined by a combination of experience and education; no specific years-of-experience requirement stated.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical validation, documentation and cross-team collaboration.
- Interpret and apply JEDEC HBM specifications to validation and test activities.
- Create and maintain internal architecture documentation; review schematics and layout data.
- Perform silicon validation: lab hardware and software debugging, circuit simulation, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with product engineering and multifunctional teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of validation methodologies, workflows, and test coverage.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience expected for successful performance in this role.
- Hands-on experience with schematic review, circuit simulation, lab debugging, data analysis, or pattern manipulation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; effective time management and productivity.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical findings clearly in verbal and written form.
- Familiarity with programming (Python, C/C++) and digital design languages/tools (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog) is preferred.
- Knowledge of VLSI concepts and semiconductor process fundamentals is preferred.
- Self-motivation, an innovative approach to process/product improvement, and passion for the work.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field β or equivalent practical experience.
